寂靜邊緣

這首「A total eclipse of the heart」算是一首經典老歌。

當然我不否認是先聽到 林育羣的演唱 才引起我的關注，不過最終還是 Bonnie Tyler 的版本最讓我難以忘懷。

Bonnie Tyler（邦妮．泰勒），生於 1951年6月8日。雖然人生就是這麼回事，不過還是來回顧幾張年輕美好的記憶。

以沙啞的嗓音扣人心弦的唱出，初次聽時覺得有些突兀，但之後幾日卻在腦海中反覆迴盪。

非常推薦的歌曲－Bonnie Tyler 在 1982年的版本，或許很難有人再達到了吧。（包括她自己，隨著年華的流逝，我相當懷疑邦妮她當年的唱法對喉嚨損傷劇大，近年的音質已頗令人傷感）

關於本首歌詞的翻譯，長期以來很感謝來自各方的朋友予以指點。

我很喜歡文字，在大三第一次接觸翻譯時（當然是德漢翻譯），老師問我們翻譯是什麼？或是翻譯的要點是什麼？

我並不能確切記得自己外行的回答，但班上有一位認真研究過的同學，提出了「信‧達‧雅」這個眾允的方向，也讓我一直奉為圭臬。

緣份讓我們今日聚於一方，在時空之間品味這首歌，任何使翻譯更為雋雅的評論，都非常感謝你，朋友。

＊註１：歌詞中反覆出現的＂turn around＂

鬼女 J 在多次思索後得出幾種翻法。（明明就是學藝不精...）

我原本把其當作 Tyler 的內心旁白，是與其他主歌詞部分互相輝映的，因此譯為「別看」。

雖然心裡總隱約覺得或許有更好的翻法，沒想到腦袋一直便秘，直到多月之後看到 無敵緞大爺 的留言，讓我重新審視這首歌詞的翻譯，最後靈光一閃，有了完全不一樣的想法：倘若將＂turn around＂視為男生對 Tyler 所唱的內容的話，這句話的立場就完全顛倒了，變為：「（Tyler）轉過來／看著我」

當然在 Tyler 說「我已心死」時，這個詞也或許可翻為「請回心轉意／改變主意」，個人認為也有可行之處。誰叫這詞真是太含糊了，有許多臆想的空間。於是（2011.8.6）就姑且暫把此詞譯為：看著我。

到了某天，感謝樓下那位，二連發評論重擊我，鬼婆一邊推著老花眼鏡一邊重新思考，很善變的覺得：沒錯，翻成「別走」豈不是更好？

所以我又跟熊借膽，修改翻譯如下。是非與否，在下仍滿心期待各位看倌留下意見。

 ＊註２：訪友 Eclipse 於（2012.3.17）提出：Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time...中的 shadow 可以翻為「影子」較順，拜聞此看法後，我在深夜裡一拍大腿，豁然開朗。

沒錯我之前腦袋就是便祕，翻成「陰影」翻得這麼硬拗都沒人吐槽我。

天可憐見，終於有人翻的如詩如畫：愛如影隨形，令我悠然神往。現今在此聲明：之前翻成「你的愛總是我內心的陰影」可以從硬碟裡刪掉了， 各位同學，以後請改翻為「你的愛總如影子伴隨著我」。
